Sam is an administrative intern at Beloit Health System (BHS), gaining valuable insights into healthcare operations and patient experiences.

Sam’s role at BHS involves evaluating both patient and employee experiences, aiming to identify areas of improvement within the health system. This experience underscores the importance of stepping outside the employee lens to genuinely assess the patient perspective.

Sam collaborates with various departments to understand BHS procedures, policies, and systems. She has enhanced her understanding of organizational communication and coordination through the internship.

Sam is grateful for being invited by Tim McKevett ’86, the CEO and President of BHS, to participate in the Olympian Society event, at which she had an opportunity to engage with community donors and practice her networking skills. She appreciates being part of an organization that is committed to community care and is looking to enhance services.
